Tony was one of the pioneers in Life Insurance Brokerage with the formation of Underwriters Advisory Service, the predecessor of The Underwriters Group (TUG) which became the largest life insurance brokerage in the country. As a result of the acquisition of TUG by the publicly traded BISYS in 1996, he was named President of the BISYS Insurance Services. In 1999 with the acquisition of three of the largest training companies offering course material for both the insurance and stock brokerage industries, Tony became Group President of BISYS Insurance and Education Services Division. In the five years that he served as Group President, the Insurance and Education Group grew to become over 40% of the earnings of The BISYS Group which had a market capitalization exceeding $4.2 billion. This was accomplished by both organic growth and the strategic investment in approximately $250,000,000 in acquisitions. Since retiring from The BISYS Group in 2001, he has become involved in Commercial Real Estate Development, with strong interest in the redevelopment of downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He partnered in the development of two of the premier downtown properties: the headquarters of Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and Market Square Plaza. Tony has many other Susquehanna Valley properties and plans to continue in advancing the growth and economic development of Central Pennsylvania.
